The synth arpeggio that rises and falls all through the opening title theme
A C major seventh chord (C, E, G, B) played one note at a time, climbing to the high C and falling back, over and over, on an analog synth in the Stranger Things title theme. The major seventh gives it a wistful, dreamy colour. Because the bass underneath switches between C and E, the same arpeggio sounds warm one moment and dark the next. On guitar, the open Cmaj7 shape gives the same notes.
