Silvestri squeezes the main theme into one accented hit: G in two low octaves, D above, another G, and the raised fourth C♯ on top, struck hard by low brass, piano and snapped pizzicato strings. With no third it is neither major nor minor. The C♯ is the Lydian note that gives the whole theme its bite, so the hit sounds like the theme's name spoken in one word.
