FamousDon't Look Back in Anger ChordDon't Look Back in Anger, 1995 · Oasis (written and played by Noel Gallagher)

The pre-chorus (which some British guitar magazines call the bridge): the passing chord between G and A minor on the last line before the chorus.

A passing chord in Oasis's Don't Look Back in Anger (1995) that leads from G up to A minor at the end of the pre-chorus. Noel Gallagher frets a G♯ in the bass and one note on the G string and lets the open strings ring, which spells an E7 with G♯ at the bottom. The rising bass line and the open-string jangle are why it sounded odder than the diminished chord printed in the songbook.
