D♭ major triad over a C–G bass (the bass figure is C2–G2); counting the bass G it spells D♭maj7♯11/C, the library's current name
The four-bar piano introduction of the published sheet music of the theme (in C), where it alternates with C6/9. The TV main title itself, in B♭, does not have it
In the official sheet music for the Star Trek theme, the piano intro rocks back and forth between C6/9 and a D♭ major chord played over the same C bass. Moving the upper chord up a half step while the bass stays put gives a jaunty, slightly exotic lift. It sets up the bouncing beguine rhythm before the singer comes in.
Also called Beguine, Star Trek Beguine Chord, D♭maj7♯11/C
